Who knew? And what if you did?

Did you know that in February 2012: A meteor big enough to have ruined a lot of people's Valentine's Day streaked over the East Coast, creating a rare daytime fireball. Large numbers of people from Connecticut to Philadelphia reported seeing the meteor, which by some accounts was as bright as the sun. Most meteorites are the size of a grain of sand, but experts believe this one was up to 5 feet across.  "My crude estimate of the energy of this fireball is about 100 tons of TNT, which means it was capable of producing a crater 125 feet in diameter and about 15 feet deep," a NASA scientist tells MSNBC.


AND, in February 2011




An asteroid all but buzzed Earth on Friday, NASA has revealed. The asteroid, known as 2011 CQ1, passed just 3,405 miles above the Earth’s surface as it hung a sharp turn around the planet. That's the closest near-miss ever recorded, beating a record set by a rock in 2004 by a few hundred miles, notes the New Scientist. The asteroid was just a meter wide, small enough that Earth’s gravity would affect its course, in this case bending its path 60 degrees.


From my understanding this type of thing happens all the time!  Who knew!  Imagine us walking around on earth, minding our own business, living our busy lives, being unaware of all this happening around us and what could possibly happen...just like that!!  It seems to me that our planet is very blessed and we should be giving thanks every single day of our lives for just BEING!

Dancing with the Stars - New cast revealed!

So the new cast for 'DWTS' has been revealed and I can't wait to see what Erkel(or is it Erkle?) can do.  I'm guessing he should have some good moves (being a bro and all), just hope him nuh erkel up di ting!  On the other hand, there is Gladys Knight, who I'm guessing has no clue about dancing, or maybe she'll do well with the waltzes! We'll see!

So who remembers Laura Ingalls from 'Little House on the Prairie' (back in the day when we had to watch black & white TV and thought these shows were the best thing since sliced bread!)?  I'm counting on her to do well with the waltzes too but, oh well!

As for Martina Navratilova (princess of tough!), it should be awkward to see her actually trying to dance with a male partner!  But probably even more awkward for her partner who most likely will feel like he's dancing with a man!


This Maria Menounos person (not sure who she is) will be dancing with my favourite professional (Derek Hough) - hope she doesn't let him down 'cos I want him to win again! So sexy, love to watch him move on the dance floor!


Well, those are the folks I know, soooo looking forward to the start of the new season, to enjoy some fun choreography with some great and/or clumsy dancing!!!
